Restaurant Reviews

Nourish, Inverness

Nourish is an organic vegetarian restaurant in Church Lane, Inverness.

My auntie and I visited one afternoon, and the cosy little cafe was bustling with people coming and going the whole time we were there. Their ethos of providing healthy yet delicious food, catering for all dietary requirements, proves to be very popular! I loved the little initials they put on each item of the menu, to indicate whether it is vegan (v), gluten free (GF), sugar free (SF), dairy free (DF) or wheat free (WF). Nicely organised and presented!

We indulged in some delicious cakes- I had a dairy free Autumn Berry and Coconut slice, and my auntie had a vegan, sugar free and wheat free flapjack. I ordered a Banana and Berry smoothie made with almond milk, and my auntie an organic beetroot juice. And we were both very satisfied! I went to catch my flight back after the visit, so I also ordered a takeaway falafel, hummus and tomato wrap (v and gf!) and that was tasty too... although I forgot it in my aunties bag and she ran down the street to stop the bus to give it to me!!

Anyway... back to the restaurant...
they have an extensive menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, pittas and wraps, and the daily specials board had tempting delights such as sweet and sour vegetables with rice, and borlotti bean and sweet potato chilli. Will definitely be heading back there next time I'm up in Inverness!

Another fantastic feature is the Complementary Therapy rooms upstairs, offering a huge range of therapies including massage, reiki, homeopathy, allergy therapy, acupuncture and yoga!

Definitely worth as visit!
