Dalby Forest is on the south side of the North York Moors National Park, and is an incredible place to explore. Here I'll share some photos of my favourites: Adderstone, an ancient Jurassic rock formation, now lonely in the woods. The hole on top may suggest why it was given the name Adderstone- an ancient place of healing and good luck. The Enchanted Woods... with sculptures by Steve Iredale. Staindale Lake... The Bridestones... The name 'Bride' comes from the Norse word for edge or brink. These were formed when a glacier cut through this valley. An incredibly atmospheric place to linger long. Finally... a beautiful gurgling stream... and we leave the magical forest alone for the night. Dalby Forest: www.facebook.com/DalbyForestFC/
