I had a lovely day out in Bath the other day with 3 of my wonderful friends, and visited a few health food and conscious eateries. The Green Rocket is an award winning vegetarian and vegan restaurant. it's located just down the road from the train station, near the bridge by the river Avon: on the opposite side of the road to the Abbey. Cosy on a corner, the cafe is an unassuming addition to the street, but very easy to spot. Inside is intimate but spacious, the old rooms very Bath-esque in their quaintness. We delighted in some tea and vegan cheesecake- the lime and basil one comes highly recommended! My friend had a banana and cinnamon cake- also delicious. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other yummy looking food on their menu- lunch options include soups, burgers, falafel, risotto and many more. They also have breakfast and dinner menus, or just pop in for tea and a selection of home-made cakes like we did! The staff were lovely and attentive, and obliged me by allowing me to take a photo of them! Other places we visited were:
Harvest, the health food shop selling everything from fruits and vegetables to deli delicacies, and help-yourself-style grains and spices. https://www.facebook.com/Harvest-Bath-115818595106280/ Rosarios, a little Italian style cafe selling vegan and gluten free cakes. They made me chai latte with soy milk bless them! http://www.roscoff.co.uk/ The Green Rocket website: http://www.thegreenrocket.co.uk/

We love this place, too. Dan (son, then an omnivore, now vegetarian) tried a meat-free burger and pronounced it perfectly tasty enough to keep a meat muncher perfectly happy - for at least one meal, anyway!
