My life went from quiet, happy childhood surrounded by a large family
~ to studying Egyptology and Classics at University
~ to museum worker
~ to tour leader
~ to traveller and volunteer
~ to writer and advocate.
And many other tiny, wee steps in between.
And now I find myself here, living in Glastonbury, England,
with a wealth of experience behind me and a clear path ahead of me.
I have remembered so much about myself these last few months,
that I now feel who I truly am, who I always have been:
a LEADER.
If I peel away the layers of self-doubt, keeping myself small, feelings of unworthiness,
and everything else that clouds my soul:
I see a bright, clear flame of passion, desperate to see a better world.
I see a voice that wants to speak up and be heard, like many women's voices do.
I see a Goddess waiting behind the scenes to come into her full power.
I see an artist bursting at the seams to share her creations.
This blog is my beginning:
I shall paint for myself on this blank canvas a life
that includes everything I want and nothing I don't want.
I shall say no to the things that don't feel good,
and yes to the things that bring me joy.
And if society tells me 'you mustn't', 'you shouldn't', 'you won't', 'you can't' ...
then I will just have to find a way to must, shall, will and can!
The first step is changing my perspectives on the society I was born into,
and the social conditioning that is ingrained in me.
Actively feeling MY truth, and living MY way
MY rules and MY life.
Inspiring others to do the same?
well, that's just a bonus...
